That is one cool old train. It is, it's just too bad it's way beyond any repair.

I would be mostly interested in the locomotive's history: specifically the how and the why it was just left there .

I would be mostly interested in the locomotive's history: specifically the how and the why it was just left there . That's a former Class 51 tank engine (was originally manufactured in Hungary as MAV 375 starting in 1907) which was mainly used for local traffic in the Zagorje region and on other local railroads. They were all withdrawn from service in 1988 when the steam era formally ended on the former Yugoslav Railroads. As for this particular engine, not much is known about it except that it was numbered 51-141 and that it's probably used by our railway museum for spare parts (there are 10 preserved class 51 locomotives in total, and each of them is plinthed on a railway station as a monument).

It's true, that kind of power can and will turn a human being into a lump of coal. Danielle and the background photo are (c) by me

Well, since this week marked the fifth anniversary of the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and the Fukushima-Daichii nuclear plant accident, I've decided to repost this pic I originally posted after those two disasters happened: 1. Yori is Japanese 2. The bleeding sun represents all those who died from the earthquake and the resulting tsunami. 3. One half of the radiation warning sing represents the nuclear disaster at Fukushima NPP. Kim Possible and Yori are (c) by Disney.

This picture takes place in 2011, several years after the events of "Graduation" - after graduating from the University, Kim returned to her hometown, and found out that her former high school is abandoned. The school was never reconstructed after the events of "Graduation" - the reconstruction was deemed too expensive because of the 2007-2008 financial crisis ("Kim Possible" ended in 2007). The former MHS school staff and the remaining students were split between Lowerton and Upperton high schools. Kim Possible is (c) by Disney
