This came up at the other place: When did Ron definitely use the power? When did he probably use it? When might he have? Things like that.
In Monkey Fist Strikes he and Monkey Fist both thought the power would be lost if the idols were destroyed. They were obviously wrong about that.
The thing is, while getting the power was flashy and obviously magical, tapping into the power once you had it in that episode was completely invisible. Ron, Rufus, and Monkey Fist are all using it in the terminal fight scene, but there's no glowy magic or anything. Ron obviously knew he was using it because he didn't know monkey kung fu until the power gave him that skill, but if all it did was let him fight better, it could have shown up any time he was fighting well.
From my point of view the only time that his fighting really jumps out as "Yup, that's monkey style" is in Stop Team Go when he's briefly turned evil. The way he moves is extremely monkey style reminiscent.
It's generally speculated that he tapped into in A Sitch In Time because no one has really been able to put forward another convincing explanation of how he suddenly became super strong. The way he moved after "No one knocks down Bueno Nacho, past, present, or future is vaguely like how he does his monkey style, but it doesn't stand out as much as Stop Team Go. A bit of a case can be made for his brief vs. Eric scene at the end of So The Drama.
But, again, it's generally invisible. So outside of the two times it got blue and glowy, everything is speculation. It could have been on all the time (doubtful) it could have been on never (equally doubtful.)
When do you think it was in use, and why?
