And while working on a NSFW artwork, let me tell you about a cancelled fan game I wanted to create.
A lot of you have probably already read about it, but never before I've I told fully about the plot of it.
The game would have been called
"Egyptians Nights" and would focus on Kim getting a simple job (taking place a few months ago after the episode "Graduation part 2") as a security guard at a brand new museum in Middleton (shamelessly named "Middleton's museum of Ancient Egypt"). Her boss would be a very friendly middle-aged woman called Charlotte Nyman who claims to have always been a huge interest in Ancient Egypt ever since she was young and now being a boss of a museum was a dream that came true.
On the first night of Monday everything seems fine until Kim hears a couple of foot steps coming from the very same room she's in. Facing her only companion, her own flashlight, reveals the god Anubis coming slowly at her way, staring deeply into her own eyes with his own yellow-glowing ones. Kim can only try and run to the next room and close the door and hope that the sun will rise soon (if the player survives the night they will win).
Of course other gods will be a part of this game like Sekhmet, Sobek and Bastet. However as the time progresses the harder the game will become and the enemies will move faster. A couple of easter eggs, such as a male and female ghost (Sib's parents), would pop up here and then to surprise the player. On Sunday Kim will encounter the walking corpse of Sib, the only mummy of the museum and who's nicknamed "the star of the show". She will have her bandages covering the ceiling like a enormous spider-web and will slowly sink down right in front of Kim and try to attack her. Did I mention that Sib can turn into a Anubian jackal and a lioness and try and "pounce" the player?
If Kim survives until Monday morning she would get her payment. However, there would be an ending scene with her leaving the job and question herself wether or not her experiences in the museum were real or hallucinations (due to lack of sleep).
What would have made this game pretty unique is that it was supposed to be very atmospheric, not-so colorful and contain zero loud and sudden noises (jump scares are horribly overused, IMO), and gore (not even a little bit of blood).
If the game got successful on the net, I would have created a sequel starring Miss Go, as she is mysteriously trapped inside the museum ("taking place after Graduation part 2 again, explaining why Shego is a good guy"). The gameplay would pretty much be the same as the first one except this time the player is going to found out more about what happened (via random but very trippy hallucinations) to Sib before she died and why every living thing in the museum are acting so evil. Shego can somewhat defend herself with her green plasma attacks but the more the player uses her power the more tired and weak she'll become. The game would end with Shego escaping the museum after getting saved my Charlotte Nyman, who herself gets surrounded by the enemies and
someone forcefully puts a Set (god of chaos) mask on her, suffocating her to death as there are no holes or spaces in it for her to breathe through and causing her later to become a walking and possessed corpse.
The third game would have Monique, who has gotten a job a cop, as the main character. This time you are supposed to trap the now possessed Charlotte Nyman while trying to avoid getting killed by her and the other enemies. The player can use a gun to try and slow down the enemies but, similar to the previous game, using too much of that power will make you run out of bullets and you won't actually get new bullets the next night. If the player also tries to solve a couple of puzzles hidden in hieroglyphs in the museum (to explain Sib's motivation to be a murderous monster so the player can hopefully start to sympathize with her). Winning all the puzzles would unlock an ending scene were Monique manages to remove the mask on Charlotte, basically freeing her spirit as well as the gods/ Sib's family as they now have someone who understands their pain and they would vanish into thin air hinting that they can now rest in peace, resulting the player to get a 'good' ending. However, failing to do all of that will make Sib come out at the last night and help Charlotte to kill Monique, resulting getting a 'bad' ending.
So why was the game suddenly cancelled?Because while trying to add the "weight" to the Kim model, for example, on her hand, any other body parts would follow along the hand while testing the skeleton in "pose mode" (I use Blender). So yeah, the game got basically cancelled because of the "weight" problem" and thus I could never try and fix it even after searching for help on Google and from my Digital media teacher.
In short, one single technical problem as nobody (and I really mean nobody) could help me to solve caused me to cancel this game...Down below you will see a couple of promos I made, and showing what some of the models looked like (at least close up), and yes, I
still have the models on my computer;
And this was the very first concept art:
So rest in peace, Egyptian Nights, a KP horror game that never came to be... :P
