Sprained my ankle. Was walking normally then suddenly I was on the ground crying, screaming in pain, and spouting profanity. (Profanity has an experimentally verified analgesic effect.) Took me five days to notice that I'd also bonked my head badly enough to get a concussion (another three days to get it confirmed.) I've had a concussion before, that one was worse (bad enough that the horrible pain from the sprained ankle wouldn't have kept me from noticing that the headaches were definitely not normal for any length of time.) Anyway, there are two things to know about concussions.* One is that they're unpredictable. They can be over in a few days, or it can be over a month. Last time was over a month. The other is something that I don't remember being told last time. Electronic screens make them worse and make them take longer to recover. Computer, tablet, smart phone, TV, whatever. It is my unfortunate conclusion that whoever figured that out was absolutely right, so I'll be trying to minimize computer time until I'm recovered. Which means no talkie here. Could be a few days, could be a few weeks. I'll catch up on whatever I missed when I'm back to normal. - * With respect to me posting here. There's tons of useful things to know in general.

I'm still not at 100%, but I'm recovered enough to be back now.
